Your child will have undergone a flexible bronchoscopy at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
This will have involved your child being put to sleep while the doctors used a thin flexible camera (bronchoscope) to look inside their airways, possibly taking some samples during the procedure.
You will probably be at home by now and we hope that your child has recovered. However, your child may have experienced some after effects from the anaesthetic or bronchoscopy.
If you are worried about any symptoms that your child still has, please seek help from your local doctor or contact the respiratory team at Alder Hey on 0151 252 5777
We are looking into the service provided for flexible bronchoscopy at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. We want to understand your child's experience, both during the visit to hospital and in the days after the procedure. We are doing this because everyone at Alder Hey is dedicated to making your and your child's experience as easy and stress free as possible. We understand this must be a difficult time for you, so we want to find ways to make our service even better for future patients and their families. If you have any concern about this survey please contact Prof Semple by email to m.g.semple@liverpool.ac.uk
We need your help to complete this! We would like you and your child to fill out a quick online survey. It is important that your child fills out their section as independently as possible. The best time to fill it out is 3 days after the procedure, but don't worry if it is sooner or later! The link at the top of the page will direct you to the survey.
